Applications to the Scottish Emergency Oil Heating Scheme is open

Home Energy Scotland is helping deliver the Scottish Emergency Heating Oil Scheme for Scotland.

The scheme aims to support vulnerable households with the increased cost of oil or LPG for heating.

This scheme will be live until the 30th September 2026 or until funds run out and will be a payment of £300 to those who qualify.

Applications can be made from homeheatingadvice.scot. You can also call 0800 048 7413.

Please note that our telephone lines will be extremely busy. If you are able to apply online this will be the quickest way to process your application.

TTS Attended Scotland’s Housing Festival

Tenants Together Scotland (TTS) exhibited at the Scottish Housing Festival. Members Colin Stewart, Gordon Saunders and Shona Gorman also contributed to panel discussions. It was a valuable opportunity to connect with housing professionals and discuss tenant participation.

Tenants Together Scotland meet online with SHR

Members of our Scottish Housing Liaison Group met online with the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) on 3 February 2026. During the meeting, members of Tenants Together Scotland (TTS) discussed a range of important topics, including rent consultation, re-let standards, recruitment of new tenant advisors, and the accessibility of information on landlords’ websites. Tenants Together SHR Liaison Group Meet with Regulator

Tenants Together SHR (Scottish Housing Regulator) Liaison Group met with the Regulator on the 11th November 2025. The members were introduced to Garry Coutts, Chair of the regulator along with SHR staff. Topics Discussed including Damp and Mould, Emergency/Homeless Housing, Rent Affordability and Rent Consultation process. The group also discussed Tenant Engagement and Communication in a facilitated session.
